Venn Construction collaborated with Cuningham Architects and Dr. Sid Starkman on the build-out of this extraordinary 11,735 SF, 3 OR,  Ambulatory Surgery Center and Med Spa. The project involved transforming a single-story masonry building with a wood-framed roof into a cutting-edge medical facility. The goal is to provide personalized and world-class results to patients seeking facial cosmetic surgery at Dr. Starkman’s Facial Plastic Surgery in Scottsdale.

The construction scope includes a complete interior demolition of the existing Class B office building to make way for the surgery center and med spa. Structural enhancements, such as the addition of new steel framing in each of the three Operating Rooms, were required to support surgical lights adequately. Additionally, the project team added essential upgrades to the building’s HVAC system, the incorporation of med gas lines, and the provision of a dedicated generator space to ensure the building’s seamless conversion for medical purposes.

This state-of-the-art facility features three Operating Rooms, pre-op rooms, private recovery rooms, Aesthetician rooms, exam rooms, a Hyperbaric oxygen room, clean rooms, offices, and a staff workstation area. With meticulous attention to detail, the surgery center was completed with high-end finishes, incorporating black and bronze accents throughout, creating a luxurious atmosphere.
